«I assure you that it was one of our trips more pleasant. Went it extremely well. The House was perfect, the heavenly place, good food, the Staff of K59 very nice and welcoming, we were attended as royalty. Actually, I cannot give suggestions to improve because I do not see how it could have been better.
We want to return next year to the end of October, early November»

Everything was awesome Gerardo. Veronica’s meal was great, Ishmael was prompt and Eduardo was very helpful. When I needed some tweezers to get some fiberglass out of my foot after I cut it in the water, he was right there.
The waves were flawless. One of my favorite waves in the world!!

«K59 surfhouse is a great place to get excellent surf, a stress free international experience, and be on top of a great wave for a very affordable price.
I have returned several times to this charming family run house. I’ve always had great waves and food and the location can’t be beat. K59 is within an hour of the international airport yet feels super quiet and remote. K59 is a righthand cobblestone point/river mouth set up that faces almost directly south. It receives consistent swell most of the year with April to October being the most consistent season. The rides are 100 to 200 yards long depending on the size of the swell. The paddle out is usually dry since you paddle around the waves from the little bay. Being right on the point you can usually be the first in the water and the last out and monitor the surf all day long.
Another bonus is that K61, another right hand point, is a short 10 min walk from the property. Though not usually as good as k59 it can be very good and is never crowded. The Bustamante family who run the house are top notch people who pick you up at the airport and make sure all your needs are met. One reason I keep returning is that you can reach El Salvador the same day you leave the states and be in the water for an afternoon session as well as surf in the morning before you leave, thus maximizing the number of surf days while minimizing the number of days gone on vacation. The house is quite comfortable with AC in the bedrooms and internet connection. The grounds are amazing with frangipani, almond, coconut, ironwood, gardenia trees etc. Everbody’s favorite is the palapa which is 10 feet off of the ground and sits at the front of the property overlooking the point. It is equipped with hammocks, chairs and table and electric outlets. A quick swim in your private pool is a nice way to refresh.
I recommend this surfhouse to anyone who would like to get good surf and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of El Salvador.»

«Hi Gerardo, Facilities were great – pool and bungalow were very useful. Food was also excellent. The staff kept us well fed and were very attentive.
Waves were a bit busy at times with non-guests and there were a few attitudes in the water at times but that seems to be the case everywhere now.»

K59 Surf house is the place to say when your crew wants to have a great surf vacation at a great price. Gerardo and the staff at K59 made things easy for us from the moment we touched down in San Salvador. They picked us up at the airport, whisked us to the house (only about an hour away) and we were literally right in the surf. The house manager and his family extended every courtesy while we were at the house, and watched over our every need. With three fantastic meals on the table per day, an internet connection and nice cool air conditioning, all we did was sleep, surf and eat.
The wave has been crazy-fun every time I’ve visited, and we saw one swell that was double-overhead (plus). When it gets big, it makes the average surfer feel like Laird Hamilton, because it holds the size. Challenging? Yes. Managable? For sure.
Thanks to the staff at K59 for a great surfing experience. It is the surf trip of a lifetime, at a great value. I’ll be back again for sure.

We really had a great time at the house. Juan Carlos was great and very accommodating and having someone who understands the waves and local culture is very important. Luis his wife and the kids were all so great and Veronica’s cooking was fantastic!! Everyone was extremely nice and we’d definitely like to come back and are planning a trip sometime for the fall to return!
The one think I might suggest regarding snacks would be to have a few more options available besides chips. Maybe some fresh fruit to purchase and Juan Carlos has some good ideas too regarding smoothies and other health options that sounded great. If you could take total payment on paypal that would be great too –the whole cash withdraw thing is very challenging given some of the logistics. I think most people would be willing to pay some minor fees to not have to carry around that sort of cash. Thanks again for all your assistance, you have some great people in place to be very successful with your property!!»

«Being situated on one of the best right hand points in El Salvador and Central America, K59 Surfhouse is a destination that should not be past up by any surfer. My trip to K59 Surfhouse could not have been any better.
The house and the staff were enjoyable, with fantastic food and spacious rooms, that had very cold air-condition! We were picked up from the airport and were surfing in no time at all. The wave is incredible!
Long walled up right hand point that provides fun for novice to pro surfers. After my multiple surfs a day I would hang out in the pool or watch endless perfect waves from the balcony. If you are in need of a laid back no surprises surf trip I highly suggest a stay at K59 Surfhouse».

«The trip was amazing we all had the best time. Waves were so fun and Juan Carlos was a great host and surf guide, between his connections and knowledge of the Swell we always got good waves. Luis and his family are truly wonderful people.
We played soccer with Rosa and Concha and left behind some soccer balls for them. Luis is a very genuine and intelligent man. It was great communicating with him about the local fruits, construction, agriculture, plants, pool, yard, everything. He is a great caretaker of your property.
The food from Veronica was amazing as well. Each meal was perfect with complements of local dishes, fruits, and juices. One thing I would recommend would be more fresh fruit for surfers in the morning before sessions for example whole banana’s coconuts, mango’s, that kind of stuff. But the rooms and everything was great.
